Share a discovery, start a conversation
A small invitation can be the beginning of something personal.
Begin with what caught your attention
A good discovery message can be simple: you noticed a calendar pattern and thought a friend might enjoy it. Explain the specific connection in ordinary language. You do not need to exaggerate its significance or turn it into a prediction about your friendship.
Let a friend choose to participate
A comparison invitation shows your chosen display name and month-and-day date before you send it. Your friend can open the link without an account and enter their own birthday. The calculation does not silently save their birthday in your relationship list or subscribe either person to email.
Know who can see the link
An unlisted link is absent from site navigation and search listings, but it is not a private message system with recipient authentication. Anyone who receives a forwarded invitation can open it. Avoid including information you would not want another link holder to see. Guest invitations expire after 30 days and can be revoked from the browser that created them.
A non-match can still be a conversation
Some birthdays do not share a permanent calendar group. That result should be stated warmly and truthfully. The invitation is an opportunity to explore a date together; it is not a test of how close two people are.
